Comfort Kit v1.0

A thoughtfully curated kit designed to bring comfort, creativity, and warmth to children aged 8–10 during their hospital stay.

Dr Sunshine's first Comfort Kit is a carefully designed care package created to brighten the hospital experience for children aged 8 to 10 years. Each kit includes a soft fleece blanket, storybooks, activity and puzzle books and colouring materials - items chosen to provide comfort, reduce anxiety and keep children engaged during long hours away from home.

The contents were selected through a community-informed process shaped by feedback from parents, former young patients, teachers and hospital contacts. These insights highlighted the importance of items that help children feel safe, calm and distracted during challenging moments.

Every product inside the kit meets strict quality and safety standards, including CE and EN71 certification. All items are brand new, age-appropriate and compliant with guidelines submitted to Mater Dei Hospital’s Infection Control Department. This ensures that each Comfort Kit is not only meaningful, but also suitable for use within hospital environments.

The Kit is assembled by the Dr Sunshine team with care and attention to detail - bringing comfort, hope, and warmth to young patients when they need it most.
